Thanksgiving Season Calligraphy with Sip & Script® at CityLine!
Get in the Halloween spirit with a festive night of modern calligraphy at CityLine Plaza! We’re partnering with Sip & Script® for a beginner-friendly workshop filled with those special lettered details to all your Thanksgiving holiday tables with place cards, menus, food labels, bar carts and more!
What’s Included:
Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop! Additionally, we will be creating holiday place cards at the end of our class time!
Class Setting:
This class is great for beginners (lefties welcome!) and anyone wanting to brush up on their lettering skills. No experience needed—we’ll walk you through the basics and help you build confidence to keep practicing beyond class.
BYOB & Make a Night of It:
Feel free to come early to grab your seat and explore CityLine’s 25+ restaurants. Drinks are BYOB, and most spots offer cocktails to go—so bring your favorite sip!

Location:
We’ll be outside in the Plaza (look for the cow jumping over the moon between Fernando’s and Good Union BBQ). If it rains or gets too hot, we’ll move inside Good Union BBQ.
Heads up:
Kids 16 and under are welcome with a ticketed adult. Just a heads up—this is a relaxed class where guests may be sipping adult beverages.

Class Expectations:
This class is encouraged for someone who has never taken a calligraphy class before. We teach the basics and our expectation for you is to have ink flowing through your nib with enough confidence to be able to practice way beyond class. We love using tracing paper with our guides to help you build muscle memory and develop your own style! If you have tried calligraphy out before, this class will be a great refresher.
Parking at CityLine:
FREE parking is available along State Street or on the ground level of all garages. Or take the DART which drops you off right on CityLine property!
